She is survived by: her children, Vincent Bates (Janice), Ronald Bates and Carolyn Wells; and her sister Vanessa Ridgeway. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
