He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Boyd, Sr. and Berbenia Boyd; his sons, Ricky B. Glasgow and Charles A. Boyd; and his siblings, Vivian Eargle and Bennie Boyd, Jr..

He is survived by: his grandson Nicholas E. Gallman; his wife Juanita Glasgow Boyd; his daughters, Linda Williams (Larry), Katherine Thomas (Steve), Carolyn Boyd, Roxanne Boyd and Vicky Campbell (Duane); his siblings, Evelyn Caughman, Rosa Mitchell (Thurmond) and John Alfred Boyd, Sr. (Vanessa); and his sister-in-law Elvie Crawford. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
