He was predeceased by: his father Leo Edward; his aunt Clara; his uncle Lloyd Lemmon; and his cousin David Lemmon. He is survived by: his wife Janee Fournier Smith; his children, Regina Thomas (Allen), Laura Smith and Donny Smith (Dawn); his grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Austin Smith, Madeleine Thomas, Hayleigh Smith, Sawyer Smith and Adam Zant; his brother Joe Smith (Gail); and his sibling's children, Tammy Patterson (Eddie), Stephanie Smith, Jason Smith (Kyna) and BJ Smith.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Don.
