He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Hazel and Lizzie Hazel; his son Daniel Frank Hazel; and his siblings, Joe Hazel (Pat), Ruth Crawford (Frank), Mary Pryor (Ben) and Nettie Engram (Jerome).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnston Hazel; his son Fred Hazel of McDonough; his grandchildren, Matthew Daniel Hazel (Maddie), Michael Robert Hazel (Alexis), Mitchell Steven Hazel, Jason Chance Hazel, Elise Gottlieb and Anna Marie DiPalma; and his daughter-in-law Bent DiPalma Parr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Haisten Funerals & Cremations (1745 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Arlington Memorial Park (201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328).
