He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnston Hazel; his son Fred Hazel of McDonough; his grandchildren, Matthew Daniel Hazel (Maddie), Michael Robert Hazel (Alexis), Mitchell Steven Hazel, Jason Chance Hazel, Elise Gottlieb and Anna Marie DiPalma; and his daughter-in-law Beth DiPalma Parr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
