It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Agnes Satterfield of McDonough, Georgia, born in East Point, Georgia, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Henry Meier and Agnes Swain Meier; her brother John Henry Meier; her husband Ewell Lacy Satterfield; her daughter Cynthia Marie Burdette; and her brother Herman F. Meier.

She is survived by : her great grandchild Silas Jaxon Burdette; her children, Michael E. Gresham (Jane) and Elaine G. Huffschmidt (Frank); and her stepchildren, John David Satterfield (Michelle) and Debra S. Price (Ron). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in memory of Hazel M. Satterfield be made to First Christian Church Jonesboro, 2272 Walt Stevens Rd., Jonesboro, GA 30236.
