He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Austin and Georgie Austin; his former wife Betty Jean Austin; and his son Lowell Steven Austin. He is survived by: his children, Arden Austin (Robin), Barry Austin and John Austin (Nancy); and his siblings, Willie Austin, Arden Austin (Sue), Irma Gann (LaVerne) and Arlene Cleveland (John). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Haisten Funerals & Cremations (1745 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cross Baptist Church (1640 Mt Carmel Rd, McDonough, GA 30253).
