He was predeceased by : his parents, Esker H. Grimes and Mary Anna Moore Grimes; his daughter Audrea Gail Klostermeyer; and his siblings, Charles Grimes, Peggy Grimes and Linda Selph.

He is survived by : his sons, Kirk Grimes (Dawon) of Albuquerque, NM, Rick Harrison Grimes of Denver, CO and Stanford Heath Grimes (Roberta) of Denver, CO; and his brother Wendell Grimes (Fourteen) of McRae. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
