He is survived by: his wife Rose Martin Willis of Meigs; his daughter Nicki Gardner (Alex) of Thomasville; his siblings, Clare Cauley of Macon, Gary Willis (Martha) of Oglethorpe and Theron Willis (Wynette) of Thomasville; and his close friend Ann Dempsey.
