It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Watkins of Mershon, Georgia, born in Alma, Georgia, who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulus Watkins and Mildred Julia Wilkins Watkins; his wife Linda Faye Sapp Watkins; and his siblings, Ronnie Watkins, Ricky Watkins, Joyce Watkins and Kathy Watkins.
He is survived by: his children, Christel Watkins (Mark Johnson) of Mershon and Jeremy "PeeWee" Watkins (Sherry) of Patterson; his brothers, Donnie Watkins (Carol) of Mershon, David Watkins (Doodle) of Blackshear and Randy Watkins (Donna) of Mershon; his son-in-law Angel Hernandez of Mershon; his grandchildren, Tyler Watkins (Jeannine Paterek), Elyssa Woodard (Jacob), Emily Hernandez (Jorge Perez), Jonah Hernandez (Tori), Caleb Watkins (Jessica), Jamee St (Pam), Shannon St (Meghan), Kala St. Thomas (Jessie), Jadan Johnson (Hannah), Bryce Johnson (Molly) and Kacee Johnson (Paige); his great grandchildren, Eli, Anna Jade, Brayden, Bailey, Ella Mae, Sophie June, Lane, Kandice, Aleigha, Jessie, Maddy, Summerlyn, Paisley, Addie, Jade, Kelly Grace, Saylor, Hazleigh, Zane, Sylvie Joe, Bentlee, Beau, Brody and Kolter; and his great great grandchild Kolton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
