He was predeceased by: his parents, William Solomon Donaldson, Sr. and Ruby Lanier Donaldson; his wife Doris Mavis Nail Donaldson; and his former wife Marilyn Flewallen Mixon Donaldson. He is survived by: his sons, James Berrien Donaldson, Jr. (Deborah) of Metter and Baxter Donaldson (Sally) of Lexington; his stepchildren, Richard Mixon (Ellen) of Birmingham, Alabama and Wanda Mixon of Birmingham, Alabama; his brother William Solomon Donaldson, Jr. (Claire) of Metter; and his niece Jamie. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
