He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George W. McGowan and Mary Ann McNair McGowan; his wife Lori Lanier McGowan of Metter; his children, Matt McGowan (Jessica) of Metter and Marlie McGowan Hilton (Matt) of Vidalia; his sisters, Violet Coleman (Barry) of Vidalia and Angie Franklin (Brad) of Metter; and his grandchildren, Jase McGowan, Saylor McGowan and James Hilton. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
