He was predeceased by: his parents, Zannie Helmly and Eunice Helmly; his son Bruce Helmly; and his brothers, Andrew Helmly and Charles Helmly.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy C. Helmly; his children, Harry Helmly Jr., Glenn A. Helmly (Melissa) and Linda Helmly; his stepdaughters, Patty Collins (Ricky) and Cheryl Canady (Danny); and his sister Fran Hambor. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
