He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Hensley Daniel and Blitch Parrish Daniel; and his sister Valerie Daniel. He is survived by: his children, Brandy Snell (Steven) and Jack Avery Daniel (Lucy Battle); his grandson Harrison Snell; his brothers, Malcolm Daniel and Dallas; and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Daniel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
