He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson G. Lanier and Mary Goodwin Lanier; and his siblings, Mike Lanier, Paul Lanier, Marcia Sheppard and Sharon Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa Lanier; his children, Justin Vincent of Stockbridge, Kayla Marlow (Matt) of Stockbridge and Samantha Walker of Metter; and his siblings, Chris Lanier of Metter, Ricky Lanier (Debra) of Stockbridge, Renee Fordham (David) of Metter and Cindy Walker of Metter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
