He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley (JW) and Nellie Mae Meeks Covington; and his son Billy Covington. He is survived by: his partner Jewell Pullum; his children, Randy Covington, Regina Evans, Cynde Zorn and Connie Hodges; his extended family, Linda Way, Judy Blalock and Tommy Findley; and his siblings, Dimpsey, Danny Ray, Jimmy, Ricky, Shelby, Faye and Carolyn. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
