He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Remer Franklin and Myrtis Hiers Franklin; and his brother Jasper Remer Franklin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kemp Franklin of Metter; his siblings, Doris Cook (Kelton) of Metter, Jenny DeLoach (Joe) of Metter, Jerry Franklin (Ida) of Farmington, CT, Pernal Franklin (Cathy) of Metter and Marty Franklin (Terry) of Pulaski; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Deal Franklin of Excelsior, Edna Brinson of Metter and Annette Bruner of Metter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home - Hooks Chapel (223 SW Broad St, Metter, GA 30439). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Metter First Baptist Church (50 S Rountree St, Metter, GA 30439). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lake Cemetery.
