“I was Dr. Dillard's secretary in the Humanities Division at the college for several years. He was undoubtedly one of the best to work for and i learned much from him.. Even though i loved my job working with him, I left after a few years to pursue nursing. He sent me a letter after my father died that is one of my most treasured eloquent letters ever. We lost touch through the years but still have fond memories. Rest in peace Dr. Dillard, you have earned it. Sincerely, June Ely Stansell”
