With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Randy Byrd (Metter, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curley Byrd and Jerlean Spann Byrd. He is survived by: his brother Jeffery Byrd; his wife Jonnie Mae Byrd of Cobbtown Georgia; his children, Brandon Collins (Tenisha) of Augusta, GA, Randall Byrd of Warner Robins, GA and Rashida Byrd of Cobbtown, GA; his siblings, Schester Byrd of Cobbtown, GA and Lavon Mercer (Mattie) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Nevegh Byrd, Branyanng Collins, Anaiya Gordon, Cambran Collins and Willie Gordon Jr.; his aunt Magalene Spann of Reidsville, GA; and his uncle Jimmy Collins (Lou) of Warner Robins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home (25 N Kennedy St, Metter, GA 30439). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
