He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Howard and Gertrude Hurst Howard. He is survived by: his wife Betty Howard; his children, Robert Howard, Jr. (Cathy) and Teresa Odums; his stepsons, Derick Cowart (Ruth) and Stephen Cowart (April); and his sister Gail Tuten (Tommy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
