She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Rewis and Alice Marie Hancock Rewis; her stepmother Ollie Rewis; her son Terry Brooks Rewis; her daughter-in-law Regina Conti-Ellis; and her sister Ellene Rewis.
She is survived by: her children, Jeannie Ellis, Lonnie Ellis, Johnny Ellis, Janet Smith (Danny) and Loria Ellis (Willis Jones); and her siblings, Jeri Sowell (Randolph), Thelma Bryant (Christopher), Marie Rewis (Jack Prough) and Tony Rewis. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
