He was predeceased by: his father Kinard Alvin Hardy. He is survived by: his wife Mildred J. Hardy; his daughters, Lori Denham (Steve) of Columbus and Joanie Rollier (Tim) of Midland, Georgia; and his grandson Patrick Crowley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The First Baptist Church of Columbus music program.
