He is survived by: his cousins, Copes, Maynards, Flournoys, Kings and Sharpes; his wife Susanne Koon Cope of Midland; his children, Margaret Cope Spadaro of Columbus and Benjamin McLean Ansley Cope (Svetlana) of Dubai, UAE; his grandsons, Mason Spadaro of Columbus and Ace Cope of Dubai; his nephew Jimmie Gavras of Fairhope, AL; his niece Yvette Thompson; his great-nephew Grayson Gavras; his great-niece Mia Gavras; his close friend Herb C. Franks; and his pets, Joie and Phoebe.
