He was predeceased by : his parents, James Butler Goodroe and Annie Louise Peavy Goodroe; his son Justin Goodroe; and his brothers, Willie Joe Goodroe and Hinton Goodroe.

He is survived by : his wife Marilyn H. Goodroe of Hawkinsville; his son Jason Goodroe (Kristie) of Midland; and his great grandchild Elias Gahnstrom.
