He was predeceased by: his parents, Hulin Bert and Marion Penrow Babb; his wife Penny Rolland Babb; his son Roy Dean Babb; and his siblings, Sadie McGregor and Hulin Bert Babb, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Babb Scholtes, Tessa Pennington Myers (Rex) and Rosemary Nalley (Clay); his grandchildren, Megan Flakes Friese, Ryan Flakes, Gerald F. Scholtes III, Tiffany Allen Sharpe (Tyler), Brooke Kerr, Brandon Nalley, Mason Johnson, Bridget Johnson and Cortney Sylenn Babb; his siblings, Bill Babb, James Babb, Clyde Babb, Cliff Babb (Debbie), Sarah Hayes (Woody), Ann Dickerson Holland and Sue Reddick; his caregiver Melissa Horton; and his pet Precious. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Rose Dhu Cemetery.
