He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Ann Chesser Vaughn; his son Cecil Vaughn; his parents, Junior Vaughn and Estelle Sheffield Yawn; and his siblings, George Vaughn and Nancy Lanier.
He is survived by: his children, Tabitha Balderas of Cadwell and Joe Vaughn of Florida; his siblings, Elizabeth Sheffield Evans of Macon, Lee Jennings of Uvalda, Wayne Vaughn (Reba) of Douglas and James O'Neal (Gloria) of Ailey; his sister-in-law Sissy Vaughn of Metter; and his brother Darrell Barlow (Wanda) of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
