He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin J. Johnson and Erma Betty Herringdine Etheridge; and his brother Curtis Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Shane Johnson (Jessica) and Danielle Johnson; his fiancée Lisa Smith; and his siblings, Bonnie Watson (Jimmy), Wayne Johnson (Leslie) and Mike Johnson.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions to help defray funeral expenses.
