He was predeceased by: his parents, C. W. Brooks and Florence Brantley Brooks; his stepmother Vashti Wilkins Brooks; his siblings, Dean Brooks, Janice White and Judy Hutcheson; and his pet Precious Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Brooks of Milledgeville, Dawn Kamphuis of North Carolina and Kevin Griffith of Gray; his granddaughter Carly Johnson of Milledgeville; and his sisters, Annette Bacon (Kurt) of Pembroke, Penny Brantly (Lee) of Milledgeville, Gail Roberson of Milledgeville and Jean Babb (Curtis) of Milledgeville.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
