Though Emily may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Emily touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Waters and Mattie Bell Sasser Waters; and her husband Ira Edsel Rackley. She is survived by: her sons, Ira Rackley, Jr. (Nancy), Gary Rackley of Milledgeville, Michael Rackley (Diane) of Raleigh, NC and Terry Rackley (Patty) of Milledgeville; and her brother Richard Waters of Augusta. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
