He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Folsom Phillips and Annett Watts Payne. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Dixon Phillips of Milledgeville; his children, Michelle Kitchens (Kevin) of Gray and Michael Phillips (Amy) of Gray; his sister Debbie Phillips of Haddock; his grandchildren, Courtney, Summer, McKayla, Madison, Haylie, Harley, Marissa and Olivia; and his great grandchildren, Zoey, Walt, Emmah, Noah, Elliannah, Ashton, Avery and Shaw.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Freedom Church (500 Underwood Rd, Milledgeville, GA 31061-4176). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061).
