He was predeceased by: his parents, James Guy Baxley and Fannie Newman Baxley; his wife Edith Jackson Baxley; and his brother Stanley Baxley. He is survived by: his children, Gene Baxley (Ann), Charles Baxley (Jennifer) and Cindy Baxley Heath; and his grandchildren, Bonnie Baxley Carr (Jon), Crystal Baxley Ivey (Ryan), Melanie Baxley McLaughlin (Alex), C. J. Baxley (Joni) and Mary Heath. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
