It is with sadness that the passing of Katie Mae Summers (Millen, Georgia) is shared. Katie, born on March 11, 1940, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Ruthie Mae Mobley; her husband Moses Summers; her children, Felicia Summers and Leon Lee; her grandson Christoper Hudson; and her siblings, Rufus Lee, Fred Lee of Raleigh Lee, J. P, Facyson, Ella Mae Burton and Rosetta Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Darius Summers (Sandra), Richard Summers (Linda), Rosemary Byrd-Summers, Gary Summers and Karen Summers. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A wake will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the James A. Kirkland Mortuary (135 N Gray St, Millen, GA 30442). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (307 Old Waynesboro Rd, Millen, GA 30442).
