He is survived by: his wife Melinda Melton; his sons, Joshua Melton and Christopher Melton; his stepdaughters, Ashley Prescott (William) and Amanda Richardson (Ben); his grandchildren, Skyler Richardson (Attalissa), Savannah Thompson (Nate), Alexis Blackstock, Aiden Blackstock, Dakota Melton, Karli Henry, Emma-Leigh Melton, Nora Melton, Lawson Raegan and Hayley Horner; his great grandchildren, Alana Richardson, Addilynn Richardson, Jace Lee Richardson and Holden Thompson; and his siblings, Walter (Melton), Dexter Melton (Debbie) and Maxine Roberts. He is also survived by brothers and sisters as well as nieces and nephews.
