He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ralph and Bernice Cole Bowers of Epworth. He is survived by: his wife Edwina Arp Bowers; his son Ralph Edward "Ted" Bowers II; his daughter-in-law Amy Moates Bowers; his grandchildren, Lillian and Brandt; and his sisters, Linda Burnette and Sheila Ingle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
