He was predeceased by: his father David E. McHugh; his brother David R. McHugh; and his son Clay McHugh. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Burns McHugh; his daughters, Abbie and Claire McHugh; his mother Eugenia McHugh (Jean); his siblings, Deborah Vizurraga and Brett McHugh (Diane); and his sister-in-law Susan Murphy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
