He was predeceased by : his wife Beverly Jane Smith Reece; and his parents, John Findley Reece and Florence Partridge Reece. He is survived by : his children, Hugh Reece (Marie) and Elizabeth Reece Bettress (Tom); and his grandchildren, Tommy Bettress (Rachel), Tyler Bettress (Shelby), Rachel Bettress Smith (Scott) and Colin Reece. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
