He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lakin and Frieda Lakin Sharlin. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa (Clay Yarbrough), Monica Lakin and Melanie Lakin; his grandchildren, Cole Yarbrough, Cade Yarbrough, Naia Lakin-Dubrey and Nakoa Lakin-Waarith; his siblings, Ellyn Schaum, Garry, Maureen Lakin, Sharon and Neil Goldman; and his former wife Cece Lakin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
