He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Mingis and Ethel Lou Mingis; his wife Barbara "Bobbye" Davis Mingis; his daughter Deborah Mingis; his granddaughter Kristin Hurst; and his brother Jerry Mingis.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Mingis (Mary Ann) of Alto and Nancy Hurst (Ricky) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Wesley Hurst (Erin) of Monroe and Kemmer Tsirigos (Anthony) of Sugar Hill; his great grandchild Mason Hurst; and his sister Velma Holder (Lacey) of Charlotte, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
