She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ellis and Maxine Faulkner Ellis; her husband Bernard Smith (Smitty); and her children, Sandra "Sandy" Harding, James Smith, Cathy Tankersley (Wayne) of Madison, Bernie Smith (Cindy) of Fleming Island, Fla. and Gary Smith (Lynn) of Edgefield, S. C..
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brad Tankersley, Jenny Templeton, Sue Ellen Tankersley, J. B. Smith, Kelly Brown, Holly Thomas, Ben Harding and Madison Harmon. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
