She is survived by: her niece Agatha Maxine Lawson (Harvey) of Monroe, GA; her nephews, Byron Hester (Patsy) and Charles White, Sr.; her son Joseph Covington, Jr. of Detroit, MI; and her sisters, Alice Jackson and Beverly Elrod (Eugene) of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
