With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Hanson of Monroe, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Mattie Churchill O'Kelley and Antney O'Kelley; her husband Harold "Hack" Hanson; her son Glenn Hanson; her grandson Brad Cox; and her son-in-law Steven Sims.

She is survived by : her children, Sandra Smith (Robby), Jimmie Ann Sims and Gary Hanson (Elaine); her brothers, Donald O'Kelley and Gene O'Kelley; her daughter-in-law Gayla Hanson; her sister-in-law Jean O'Kelley; her grandsons, Hal Hanson (Christina) and Brian Waldrop; and her great grandchildren, Brittany Cox, Jessica Waldrop, Benson Waldrop, Macie Hanson and Brady Hanson.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meadows Funeral Home (760 State Hwy 11, Monroe, GA 30655). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home (760 State Hwy 11, Monroe, GA 30655).
