He was predeceased by: his parents, Lescar Caldwell McGarity and Dorothy Janette McGarity (Brown); and his son Michael Taylor McGarity. He is survived by: his daughters, Jamie (Steve Noles) and Caroline (Spencer Nash); his daughter-in-law Tricia McGarity; his siblings, Jan Saunders and Pat; his sister-in-law Suzanne McGarity; his grandchildren, Ian Dutton, Will Dutton, Callen Nash, Lila Nash, Ashlyn McGarity and Anna Grace McGarity; and the mother of his children Pam McGarity.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rotary Club of Monroe Georgia.
