We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2023, at the age of 89, Thelma Jo Emerick of Monroe, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Homer Kirk and Senie Kirk (Childers); her husband Travis Emerick; her daughter Deborah; her son-in-law Bennie Harkins; her grandson Bryan Mitchell; and her siblings, Louise, Robert Harrison, Frances, Howard Mooney, Leonard, Christine Kirk, Kirk, Berthalene, Clayton Dorsey and Lanier Roberts.

She is survived by : her children, Wanda, Steve Walter of Baltimore, MD, Ricky, Mary Emerick of Monroe, GA, Sherry and Kenneth Dobbs II of Winder; her son-in-law Marvin Looney (Carol Giles); her grandchildren, Briana Jameson, David Stewart "DJ", Britne Jackson, Jared "Bud" Jackson, Aubrie Dobbs, Angela Goodsir, Shane Goodsir and Brandon Norris; her great great grandchildren, Landon Barker, Jaxon Morris, Truitt Stewart, Charlie Jackson, Levi Jackson, Lyrik Stewart, Makayla Reese and Sophia Reese; and her sister Grace Roberts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous family and friends.
