With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Morris McKenzie of Montezuma, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John T. McKenzie and Mira Bess Turner McKenzie; his siblings, Belinda Woods, Beverly McLendon and Miretta McKenzie; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy McLendon Sr., Ricky J. Waters and Lewis B. Joiner.

He is survived by : his daughter Sharika Wimby of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Alexus Lowe and Addison Swayzer of Atlanta, Georgia; his siblings, Gracie L. Joiner of Montezuma, Barbara Marshall (Charlie) of Montezuma, Sheila Warren (Roy Neal) of Montezuma, Mary Nell Waters of Montezuma, Connie Walker (Willie) of Montezuma, Reba Platt (Jerry), Van McKenzie of Oglethorpe, Coretha Davis (Willie L.), John Lewis McKenzie of Atlanta, Cassandra Jones (Kyle) of Jonesboro and Gerald McKenzie of Americus, Georgia; and his friends, Willie and Connie Walker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Shade Arnold Baptist Church (11241 GA-26, Montezuma, GA 31063).
