Eddie C. Thornton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie C. Thornton of Montezuma, Georgia, who passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thornton and Emma Ball Daniel; his son Mickey Thornton; his siblings, Bertha Furlough, Floyd Cosby, Iris Snipes, Evelyn Nobles, Deffie Harris and Mary Jane Tookes; and his sons-in-law, Kenneth Brown and Bobby Westberry.

He is survived by: his wife Lillie Bell; his daughters, Elizabeth Westberry of Montezuma, Emma Thornton of Americus, Lillie Brown of Montezuma, Sherronda Miller of Fort Valley and Sharonda Ladd of Warner Robins, Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Rudine Felton, Betty Harris of Montezuma, Agnes Monford, Mary Brown of Orlando, Elizabeth Sutton of Hartford, Connecticut and Willie James Odom of Montezuma, Georgia; his niece Mary Alice Crawford; his nephew Edward Snipes; and his caregiver Nicole Robinson. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.
