He was predeceased by : his mother Scottie Rogerson. He is survived by : his wife Raye Rogerson; his children, Ashley Sturdivant of Palestine, Texas and Blake Ussery (Juliann) of Macon, Georgia; his granddaughter MaryJayne "M. J." Sturdivant of Palestine, Texas; his siblings, Amy Rogerson of Texas and Mark Rogerson (Karen) of Texas; his sister-in-law Angela Bass of Gray, Georgia; his father Joe Rogerson (Pat) of Texas; and his mother-in-law Peggie Ussery of Gray. He is also survived by aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061). A reception was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
