He is survived by: his parents, Richard J. Lanyi and Sarah Sage Lanyi (Sage) of Acworth Georgia; his son Adam Lanyi of Moreland, Georgia; his siblings, Thomas R. Lanyi (Mary Beth) of Morland Georgia, David R. Lanyi (Bonnie) of Mt. Dora, Florida and Joanne Lambie (Corey) of Acworth Georgia; and his siblings' children, John, Alex, Eric Lambie of Acworth Georgia, Sarah Crabbs (Andrew) of Florida, Allison Morris (Kyle), Sophia Morris, Lyla Morris of Moreland and Julie Lanyi of California.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (771 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Coweta County.
