We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025, at the age of 63, James Abercombie of Morganton, Georgia, born in Copperhill, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Goldie Thomas and Randy Abercombie. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Abercrombie; his sons, Daniel, Chris and Jessie Abercrombie; his siblings, Bobby Abercrombie (Eula Mae) and Kathy Smith (Carrol); and his mother-in-law Lois Elrod. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home & Crematory Blue Ridge Chapel (3911 Appalachian Hwy, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery (3732 Loving Rd, Morganton, GA 30560).
