He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Garland and Lillie Garland; his former wife Sadie Garland; his brother-in-law Jack Martin; and his siblings, Hazel Stover, Elsie Crawford, Lenzie Garland, Bertha Foster, Ranzy Garland, Brown Garland, Clay Garland, Lee Garland and Bobby Garland.
He is survived by: his wife Leticia Garland; his children, David Garland (Anna), Selina Lucas (John), Dan Garland and Orlando Perales (Rachelle); his siblings, Dave Struble (Tammy) and Ellen Martin; his grandchildren, Joe Springsteen (Cathy), Jessica Lucas (Kyle Carroll), Timothy Garland (Emily Hancock), Austin Garland, Katelyn Garland, Misty Struble and Mike Struble; and his stepgrandson Sam Perales. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
