He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanford Issiah Bennett and Mary Helen Green Bennett; and his siblings, Carolyn Wright and Ronald Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Herrin Bennett of Morris; his children, Sonya Bennett Nix of Morris and Kevin Bennett of Cuthbert; and his sister-in-law Kathryn M. Bennett of Thomasville. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lunsford Funeral Home (54 Court St, Cuthbert, GA 39840). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Union United Methodist Church Cemetery (991 Union Church Rd., Morris, GA 39867).
