He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius Joseph and Ada Joseph; and his brother James. He is survived by: his sisters, Betty Tillery-Smith and Emily Faye Garrett; his wife Olivia; his children, Louis Jr., David and Karen; and his grandchildren, Louis III, Jasmine and Michael. He is also survived by 1 great grandchild, several nephews, a niece and other cousins.
